The Fellowship recognizes CMS members who have made excellent contributions to mathematical research, teaching, or exposition; as well as having distinguished themselves in service to Canada\u2019s mathematical community. In exceptional cases, outstanding contributions to one of these areas may be recognized by fellowship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The CMS aims to promote and celebrate diversity in the broadest sense.  We strongly encourage department chairs and nominating committees to put forward nominations for outstanding colleagues regardless of race, gender, ethnicity, and sexual orientation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nominations should include a reasonably detailed rationale and be submitted by March 31, 2024.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

All documentation should be submitted electronically, preferably in PDF format, by the appropriate deadline, to awards-prizes@cms.math.ca<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Le Programme des fellows r\u00e9compense les membres de la SMC qui ont fait une contribution exceptionnelle aux math\u00e9matiques en recherche, en enseignement ou en repr\u00e9sentations, tout en se distinguant au service de la communaut\u00e9 math\u00e9matique canadienne. Dans des cas exceptionnels, une contribution extraordinaire \u00e0 l\u2019un des domaines ci-dessous peut \u00eatre reconnue par un titre de fellow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La SMC a pour but de promouvoir et de c\u00e9l\u00e9brer la diversit\u00e9 au sens le plus large. Nous encourageons fortement les directeurs ou les directrices de d\u00e9partement et les comit\u00e9s de mise en candidature \u00e0 proposer des coll\u00e8gues exceptionnel.le.s sans distinction de race, de genre, d\u2019appartenance ethnique ou d\u2019orientation sexuelle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pour les mises en candidature pri\u00e8re de pr\u00e9senter des dossiers avec une argumentation convaincante et de les faire parvenir, le 31 mars 2024<\/strong> au plus tard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
