Submissions don\u2019t have to be research articles \u2014 we also welcome expository pieces, math puzzles, reflections, or fun math-related writing. Notes from the Margin is written<em>&nbsp;by students, for students!<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Host CUMC 2026 \u2013 Bids due November 14!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Applications are open to host the Canadian Undergraduate Mathematics Conference (CUMC) 2026. The CUMC is Canada\u2019s longest-running student-run math conference, started in 1994. Hosting offers a great opportunity to unite math students from across the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>CMS Winter Meeting 2025 \u2013 Student Activities<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Planning and registration are underway for the Winter CMS Meeting scheduled from December 5-8, 2025, in Toronto, Ontario. StudC will again be organizing:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Poster Session<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Student Research Session<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Student Development Workshop (requires separate registration)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Student Social<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>We encourage students to get involved!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>About StudC<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The CMS Student Committee works to create opportunities for students in mathematics through conferences, workshops, publications, and community building.
