The CSHPM will hold its 2026 Annual Meeting in Halifax at Dalhousie University in conjunction with the 2026 Meeting of the Canadian Philosophical Association and the Canadian Society for the History and Philosophy of Science, Thursday – Saturday, June 4-6, 2026.<\/p>

Special Session – Ancient Mathematics<\/u>: Papers are welcome on the history and\/or philosophy of mathematics in the ancient world, or on any related topic.\u00a0Talks concerning the mathematics of\u00a0any pre-modern culture are welcome.\u00a0Talks may be given in either English or French.<\/p>

General Session<\/u>: Papers are welcome on any subject relating to the history of mathematics, its use in the teaching of mathematics, the philosophy of mathematics, or a related topic. Talks may be given in either English or French.<\/p>

Proposals for special events such as stand-alone paper sessions, panels, or symposia are welcome; please direct your proposal to all three organizers.<\/p>

Travel stipends of $750 CA are available for up to six papers given by graduate students and early career scholars (post-2023 PhD) at this meeting.<\/p>

S\u00e9ance sp\u00e9ciale – <\/u>Math\u00e9matiques dans l\u2019Antiquit\u00e9 <\/u>: Les articles touchant \u00e0 l\u2019histoire et\/ou \u00e0 la philosophie des math\u00e9matiques dans l\u2019antiquit\u00e9 sont bienvenus. Les pr\u00e9sentations portant sur tout sujet li\u00e9 aux math\u00e9matiques pr\u00e9modernes sont aussi bienvenues. Les pr\u00e9sentations peuvent \u00eatre en fran\u00e7ais ou en anglais.<\/p>

S\u00e9ance g\u00e9n\u00e9rale :<\/u>\u00a0 Les articles portant sur tout sujet li\u00e9 \u00e0 l’histoire des math\u00e9matiques, \u00e0 son utilisation dans l\u2019enseignement des math\u00e9matiques, \u00e0 la philosophie des math\u00e9matiques, ou tout autre sujet connexe sont bienvenus. Les pr\u00e9sentations peuvent \u00eatre en anglais ou en fran\u00e7ais, et peuvent porter sur des travaux en cours.<\/p>

Les propositions d\u2019\u00e9v\u00e9nements sp\u00e9ciaux tels que des sessions sur un ouvrage, des s\u00e9ances ou des colloques sont aussi bienvenues ; veuillez adresser votre proposition aux trois organisateurs.<\/p>

Des bourses de voyage de 750 $ CA sont disponibles pour un maximum de six communications d\u2019\u00e9tudiants gradu\u00e9s et de chercheurs en d\u00e9but de carri\u00e8re (doctorat post-2023).<\/p>
