In order to be considered for the scholarship, candidates must be active mathematics teachers, demonstrate a strong connection to an Indigenous community, and show an ability to impact Indigenous students. Preference will be given to Indigenous candidates. Each scholarship is designed to cover the full cost of tuition while the student is registered in the MMT program. Candidates interested in being considered for the scholarship must apply for both admission to the program and for the scholarship by May 1. Scholarship application forms are available on the <a href=\"https:\/\/cemc.uwaterloo.ca\/mmt.html\">MMT website<\/a>.<\/p><p><strong>Value description: <\/strong>Each scholarship will have a value of the total cost of tuition and incidental fees up to a maximum value of $15,000.<\/p><p><strong>Eligibility &amp; selection criteria:<\/strong><\/p><p>Applicants must:<\/p><ul><li>Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident.<\/li><li>Be accepted into the Master of Mathematics for Teachers in the Centre for Education in Mathematics and Computing (CEMC) at the University of Waterloo.<\/li><li>Teach mathematics at a school in Canada.<\/li><li>Demonstrate a strong connection to an Indigenous community in Canada.<\/li><li>Show an ability to impact Indigenous students in Canada.<\/li><li>Apply for admission to the MMT and for the scholarship by May 1.<\/li><\/ul><p>Preference will be given to Indigenous candidates.<\/p><p><strong>Level:\u00a0<\/strong>Masters<br \/><strong>Program:\u00a0<\/strong>Mathematics &#8211; Mathematics for Teachers<br \/><strong>Citizenship:\u00a0<\/strong>Canadian\/Permanent resident<br \/><strong>Selection process:\u00a0<\/strong>application required<br \/><strong>Term:\u00a0<\/strong>Spring<br \/><strong>Application deadline:\u00a0<\/strong>May 1<\/p><p><strong>Additional instructions:\u00a0<\/strong>Candidates interested in being considered for the scholarship must apply for both admission to the program and for the scholarship by May 1.
