Such contributions are to be interpreted in the broadest possible sense and might include: community outreach programs, the development of a new program in either an academic or industrial setting, publicizing mathematics so as to make mathematics accessible to the general public, developing mathematics displays, establishing and supporting mathematics conferences and competitions for students, etc.<\/p><p>CMS aims to promote and celebrate diversity in the broadest sense. We strongly encourage department chairs and nominating committees to put forward nominations for outstanding colleagues regardless of race, gender, ethnicity or sexual orientation.<\/p><p>Nominations must be received by the CMS Office\u00a0<strong>no later than April 30, 2020<\/strong>.<\/p><p><strong>Please submit your nomination electronically, preferably in PDF format, to <\/strong><strong><a href=\"mailto:apaward@cms.math.ca\">apaward@cms.math.ca<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-inner-section elementor-element elementor-element-b78edb8 elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default\" data-id=\"b78edb8\" data-element_type=\"section\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-container elementor-column-gap-default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-100 elementor-inner-column elementor-element elementor-element-ac87eeb\" data-id=\"ac87eeb\" data-element_type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-164283a elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"164283a\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Nomination requirements<\/strong><\/span><\/p><ul><li>Include contact information for both nominee and nominator.<\/li><li>Describe the nominated individual&#8217;s or team&#8217;s sustained contributions to mathematics education. This description should provide some indication of the time period over which these activities have been undertaken and some evidence of the success of these contributions. This information must not exceed four pages.<\/li><li>Two letters of support from individuals other than the nominator should be included with the nomination.<\/li><li>Curricula vitae should not be submitted since the information from them relevant to contributions to mathematics education should be included in the nomination form and the other documents mentioned above.<\/li><li>If nomination was made in the previous year, please indicate this.<\/li><li>Members of the CMS Education Committee will not be considered for the award during their tenure on the committee.<\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-a733b86 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"a733b86\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Renewals<br \/><\/strong><\/span>Individuals who made a nomination last year can renew this nomination by simply indicating their wish to do so by the deadline date. In this case, only updating materials need be provided as the original has been
