2026 CMS Summer Math Camp in Ottawa

For the fourth year running, CMS, in partnership with Carleton University, Department of Mathematics and Statistics, is thrilled to announce the return of our popular Summer Math Camp in Ottawa! Open to all students, this year’s camp promises another exciting opportunity to explore the world of mathematics in a fun and engaging environment. We’re delighted to continue building this vibrant community of young mathematicians and look forward to welcoming new and returning campers.

Each week at camp is a brand new adventure! We’ll be using different materials and exploring different topics each time, so no two weeks are the same.

The Canadian Mathematical Society is proud to offer two unique weeks of math camp designed to spark curiosity and build lasting friendships. In week one, campers will explore the world of probability, financial literacy, and strategic puzzles.

Week two focuses on the building blocks of math and technology, where students explore numbers and shapes through algebra, patterns, and geometry. This year, we have enhanced our curriculum to include coding logic, allowing campers to use sequences and debugging to solve problems and understand mathematical concepts in a whole new way.

As the national non-profit voice for mathematics in Canada, the CMS has spent decades creating supportive environments where children can develop a passion for math through challenges and positive role models.

This camp is open to all students who wish to discover the joy of mathematics in a fun and collaborative setting.
